On Monday, January 24, Pilkington Netherlands officially received a Cradle to Cradle® Silver certificate for most of its insulating glass products.
In line with and stimulated by the challenging sustainability goals communicated by NSG Group the Dutch team has been working hard to certify almost the whole insulating glass products range.
Last year on the 24th of December Pilkington Netherlands received fantastic news that they achieved as first insulating glass units (IGU) manufacturer in the world and the first one within NSG Group the “Cradle to Cradle Silver” certification for almost all possible IGU combinations.
The “Cradle to Cradle Certified” by the C2C Products Innovation Institute assesses the safety, circularity and responsibility of materials and products across five categories of sustainability performance, e.g. material health, product circularity, clean air & climate protection, water & soil stewardship and social fairness. Although every entity within NSG Group that would want to certify would have to do so themselves the work done by the Dutch team and many of the international colleagues can be used as a blueprint to speed up these processes for other parts within the group.
The Netherlands team wants to thank all involved who joined them in this long and exciting journey for the realization of this great achievement.
